Estimated NPV Improvement
Published research on BHP’s Jansen Potash Project documents how integrated simulation helped increase estimated Stage 1 production capacity by 15–20%, with approximately two-thirds of that improvement attributed to the modelling. The projected production gains contributed more than $500 million in estimated NPV improvement.
The work also supported approximately $300 million in capital expenditure deferral. MISIM’s founder served as modelling lead.
